2012 Alaska Fishing Adventures at Glacier Bear Lodge, Yakutat Alaska

Important notice from Alaska Department of Game and Fish:

"No felt soles allowed for 2012 fishing season"
Anglers are reminded that effective January 1, 2012, footgear with absorbent felt or other fibrous material on the soles are prohibited while sport fishing in the fresh waters of Alaska. The regulation was adopted by the Alaska Board of Fisheries in 2010, to reduce the potential for introduction and spread of invasive organisms, including plants, into Alaska waters. Invasive organisms spread by contaminated waders and other gear, can threaten resident fish stocks and important fish habitat. For additional details click here.

Testimonials

I have fished steelhead from Alaska to California and can honestly say that the most fun I every had steelheading was at Glacier bear lodge. The fish were abundant, their size was excellent and they fought well. In addition, the scenery is simply awesome and the Situk is a perfect size. The Glacier Bear bar and restaurant is a super place for steelheaders to congregate for swapping yarns and planning the next day’s battles. I will return every year that I am able.
