The Lodge Experience
Our guest rooms receive many upgrades each year, with each providing two new full-sized beds, full baths, sitting area and space to hang your gear at the end of a perfect day on the water. The restaurant and bar are the place to be for breakfast , lunch and dinner as our chef is the talk of the town for his luscious creations. All the while four big screen TV's will be streaming your favorite sporting event throughout the day and night. On the second level of the main lodge, you will find our well equipped fly shop and pro shop where you can pick up the hot flies for the Situk River or logoed merchandise to help remember your stay at Yakutat's Glacier Bear Lodge.

FRESHWATER FISHING
Anglers and outdoor enthusiasts from around the world come to the Glacier Bear Lodge each year to enjoy the splendors of the Alaska back country, and to experience world class stream angling for steelhead and four species of pacific salmon and trout on the Situk River. Additionally halibut, ling cod and rock fish are available in the ocean.
SALTWATER FISHING
We have a fish weight average that is about 3 times the state’s average. We fish from 30 feet to 300 feet for the barn doors you are after. A lot of it will be in 100 feet or less.
